Weekday Walks – Part 5 of 5

Steveston Community Centre & Tram

Photography by Aidan Chan

Intro by Tania Reitsma

This collection includes photos taken at the Steveston Community Centre and Steveston Tram. These photos were taken in the beginning of 2026, an interesting time in this central place within our village. While the Steveston Tram museum continues to showcase history with its restored interurban tram car, a few steps away, the old Steveston Community Centre is being demolished as the new building is getting built. Other important spaces that are visually mentioned in this collection include The Steveston Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and the Steveston Outdoor Pool. Past, recent past, present, and future all exist in this location.
